My first encounter with Philippe Starck’s work was through Le Royal Monceau – Raffles Paris, where he designed a bathroom with bold, mirrored features—daring yet sophisticated. I haven’t had the chance to stay there yet, but his distinctive design style and unique artistic vision have captivated me ever since.
還記得第一次對Philippe Starck有印象，是他為Le Royal Monceau – Raffles Paris設計了一個運用大量鏡面設計的浴室，大膽卻時尚。即便我始終還沒有機會入住一探究竟，但從此他的設計與對於藝術美感的獨到見解開始吸引了我的注意。

Nestled away on a quiet side street, the Brach Hotel is incredibly discreet—there are no obvious signs or a grand entrance, so you could easily mistake it for a private members’ club. Walking inside, you’re greeted by warm wooden interiors and an eclectic array of artwork, giving the feeling that you’ve stepped into the home of an artist with a passion for collecting treasures from all corners of the globe.

I was drawn to this hotel not only because it offers Philippe Starck’s distinctive approach to boutique design, but also due to its comprehensive wellness facilities, which are open from 7 a.m. until 11 p.m., with the pool and hot tub available around the clock. This is particularly advantageous for guests wishing to unwind after a long day, free from any time restrictions.
這次選擇入住Brach Paris，不僅是想體驗Philippe Starck對精品酒店的獨特設計，還有就是他們的Wellness Area營業時間非常彈性，從早上7點到晚上11點，泳池和按摩池更是全天候開放。這對於晚起晚回的我來說，回到飯店還能沒有時間壓力的使用Wellness Area是非常加分且體貼的服務。

The wellness centre’s pool, while not particularly large, is perfectly clean and beautifully maintained. Next to it is a cleverly designed hot tub, complete with massage jets at different heights. It’s a really thoughtful touch, allowing you to target specific areas of your body according to your needs. After a long day of exploring on foot, I came back to the hotel in the evening and couldn’t resist trying out this clever feature. I started with the jet at waist level to ease the tension in my lower back, then moved to the jets at ankle height to relax my calves. The base of each jet doubles as a foot massager, which is such a lovely, well-considered addition to the Jacuzzi.
Wellness Centre的泳池雖然不大，但環境非常乾淨整潔。泳池旁邊的Jacuzzi設計十分貼心，配有不同高度的按摩出水口，讓我能根據當天的身體狀況選擇合適的位置，針對需要放鬆的部位進行按摩。第一天，因為走太多路了，晚上回到飯店，我先利用腰部高度的出水口舒緩下背部的疲勞，接著轉到最矮的出水口放鬆小腿。而且每個出水口的底部都有腳底按摩的出水口，這樣的設計實在令人驚喜又備感貼心。
The only real gripe I had was with the layout of the steam room and sauna. They’re positioned right in the middle of the gym, so you’ve got to walk straight through the workout area to get to them. On the day I popped in, I ended up strutting into the gym in my swimsuit, still damp from the massage pool, which felt a bit awkward. Plus, I couldn’t help but notice there was a faint smell of sweat in the steam room, which suggested to me that a bit more attention to cleaning and maintenance might be in order.
唯一讓我覺得有些可惜的是蒸汽室和桑拿室的位置動線很不流暢。它位於健身房的正中央，也就是說，若要使用蒸汽室或桑拿室，必須先穿過健身房中一些正在鍛煉的客人後才能到達。所以我當天就是穿著剛從按摩池上岸，全身濕的泳衣從泳池走進健身房，這樣的動線設計實在滿不順暢的。此外，蒸汽室內還帶有明顯的汗臭味，感覺保養和清潔工作還可以再加強。

As I stepped into the room, it immediately felt like entering Philippe Starck’s creative world. The design struck a lovely balance between striking modernity and welcoming warmth. Those floor-to-ceiling windows and the wall-sized mirror instantly caught my eye—distinctive touches that are unmistakably his signature style.
What really softened the space, though, was the warm-toned lighting and the wooden flooring, which added a cozy feel that countered the coolness of the mirrored surfaces. And I have to say, the bed was the real highlight for me. I’ve always been a fan of bordered bed linens, but they usually come in black or silver at other hotels. At Brach Paris, the coffee-brown border with a hint of gold perfectly complemented the room’s aesthetic—bringing together comfort and style in a truly harmonious way.
一踏入房間、推開房門的瞬間，就像進入了 Philippe Starck 的異想世界。寬敞的落地窗、整面牆的大型鏡子，完美呈現了他一貫的設計風格。木質地板在暖色燈光的襯托下，散發出溫潤的質感，巧妙地中和了鏡面設計帶來的冷調氛圍。
一直對帶邊框設計的床單情有獨鍾，過去入住過的飯店多以黑色或銀色框邊為主(例如：Hotel Muse Bangkok)。而 Brach Paris 的床單則是選用了咖啡色中帶點金色的暖色調，與整個房間的設計風格完美融合，不僅毫無違和感，甚至增添了空間上的高級感。
